The booming sound came from the coffin, rattling its very cover.

All three of them looked at the coffin with solemn eyes as right in front of them, the cover slowly moved.

Out came a skeleton's hand, its bones crunching as they gripped the corner of the coffin.

Soon, the cover was uncovered completely, and Jake could see the monstrosity that was slowly rising from the coffin.

A perfectly preserved skeleton draped in the robes of any ordinary priest was staring down at them. The skeleton had two hollow holes for eyes, and the darkness seemed to peer into the trio before it.

"You have finally come here. I have been waiting for your disgusting aura to come here so that I could kill you myself." The skeleton spoke once more. As it said this, it started hovering slightly, and was a few inches above here coffin, in the air.

"Saint Ester. So what I have feared actually came true." Father Joseph shook his head.

"Ester. That is a name of the past. Do not dare utter that name in front of me." The skeleton boomed as it declared.

"I am no longer a saint. I am the Lich King. I will not blemish my stature by associating with your weak god." The skeleton said.

"So they actually succeeded. We have woken up a true disaster level event." Ganshin said with a low tone, his eyes devoid of all the joy of finishing the quest.

And Jake understood why they were all acting like this.

The person in front of them, that wasn't just an ordinary undead. This was a Lich.

And as it had just declared, it was a Lich King. That made it even more terrifying.

If it would ever leave this place, then it would wreak havoc on the world outside. Lich's had the ability to control the dead, and that was a little terrifying.

The Lich King raised his bony hands and a dark light appeared.

As the light dimmed down, his hand was suddenly holding a scepter. He waved the scepter once, and all of a sudden, the ground below Jake's legs started shaking.

In its trembles, Jake could see a hand pop out of the ground. It was the hand of a skeleton. A skeleton below them was trying to come out.

"There are dead here! He will be able to raise an army before he even reaches the main land. We cannot afford to do that!" Ganshin said, his face aghast.

"I am a swordsman! I cannot possibly reach a Lich King. He can go up too high in the air for me to ever reach him." Ganshin said, looking around, turning his head constantly.

"Calm down, sword master." Father Joseph said with a calm voice. His voice seemed to have a soothing effect, as even Jake felt like the matter at hand wasn't concerning anymore.

"I was prepared for this situation. I was worried about the possibility of this happening, so I prepared for it." He said.

He then looked coldly at the Lich King.

"It is a pity that my old friend's body has been inhabited by you. But that is the consequence of war. I cannot do anything about it." He said, shaking his head.

"But you and your god, you have done something that is simply inexcusable. And I will even risk my life to make sure that you will go back to the ground today. No more lives will be lost because of that incident." He declared.

In his hands, his thick bible appeared, opened in the middle.

The pages were fluttering to the side, flipping at a rapid side.

He raised his right hand, and a golden light appeared, completely lighting up the dim area. The moment the light appeared, Jake had to bring both of his hands to his ears, for there was a shrill scream that deafened him.

It was a sound of pain, irritation, and agony.

Jake knew where it came from. Everywhere.

Every single undead that was rising from the ground stopped moving as they started screaming.

But the trembling didn't stop. Instead, it only got worse. The corpses., skeletons, everything inside was just twisting and turning with pain, and that led to the ground shaking even more.

"You bastard! Dim that light!" The Lich King screamed as he waved his scepter once more.

A purple light dashed from the scepter, toward the Father, trying to stop him.

But the light was intercepted. By none other than Ganshin.

His eyes were tearing up as he looked up at the Lich King.

"How dare you. How dare you use his skeleton. How dare you inhibit his person?" He shouted.

"You must be that kid. I remember you. That kid that he died protecting." The Lich cackled as he said.

Ganshin gripped his sword, gritting his teeth with anger, but didn't move. He knew better than to fall for that taunt.

"You are a man of perseverance and will, sword master. Any ordinary man would have fallen for that, but you didn't. It only shows that you have what it takes to lead the group." Father Joseph nodded as he smiled at Ganshin.

"Thank you, Father. But the leader of this small group shall always be you, the wise one. Without the words of the wise, how far can we ever get?" Ganshin smiled as he stood in front of Father Joseph, like a shield.

"I will not be around forever, sword master. So you must learn to never discount yourself. In fact, this very trip might have a circumstance where you will need to learn how to trust yourself." Father Joseph smiled.

"What are you talking about, Father? Why talk about this now, when we are in the middle of a battle?" Ganshin asked.

"Why?" Father Joseph sighed as he shook his head.

His hand released an even brighter light, and this time, his book started glowing with the same golden light.

"You bastard! How dare you use this forbidden spell! Do you have no care for your life?!"
