Chapter 695 We Shall See

Rowena snorted coldly. It was obvious to her that Jenny had some ulterior motives. "Don't

be too proud. Even if Jo moves out, you won't be the one calling the shots here. As long as

I'm here, I'm the lady of this house!"

"It's okay. That won't be the case soon." According to Graham's plan, he would soon hand

over the Walter family to her. At that time, Rowena wouldn't be the lady of the house

anymore.

Rowena's expression changed slightly as she struggled to control her anger. "Is that so?

We shall wait and see."

"Sure, let's wait and see." Jenny wasn't afraid of her either.

Both of them returned to their respective rooms. Just as Jenny was curious about what

Rowena would do, she heard footsteps downstairs. She walked to the balcony and

happened to see Rowena leaving Walter Castle. She wondered where she was going at

such an hour.

After some thought, Jenny took out her phone and made a call. "Help me keep an eye on

Rowena. I want to know who she's meeting."

She was definitely meeting up with someone at this hour, but who could it be?

Meanwhile, at James' villa, Jolene arrived at the door with her luggage. The driver helped

her unload the luggage and left.

She rang the doorbell, and it took a while for someone to open the door. It was an old

maid, probably one of the staff at the villa. "Are you Miss Jolene?"

"Yes, where's James?" Jolene asked.

"Mr. Windsor hasn't returned yet," the maid answered.

Jolene frowned, feeling unhappy. Today was the day of her engagement with James. Why

wasn't he back when it was so already late?

"Take my luggage inside, and then prepare some soup so we can have it when James

returns." She gave orders like she owned the place and proceeded to walk in.

But the maid didn't move, and she said to Jolene, "Mr. Windsor has instructed that since

you want to be the lady of this house, then you must do everything yourself."

"What?" Jolene thought she must have misheard.

The maid ignored her and continued, "After I give you the key, I'll leave. From now on, only

you and Mr. Windsor will live here."

"Hey, hold on-"

After finishing her words, the maid stuffed the key into Jolene's hand and left, ignoring

Jolene's call.

Jolene spent two hours moving all her luggage to the master bedroom. Just as she was

about to take out her clothes and put them in the wardrobe, she heard the sound of the

door opening downstairs.

Jolene's face lit up with joy as she hurriedly walked out of the master bedroom. When she

saw that the person who had come in was James, her smile grew even brighter.

"James, you're back," she said, running downstairs and standing in front of him. As soon as

she got close, she smelled the alcohol coming from him and furrowed her eyebrows

slightly. "Are you drunk?"

Upon hearing her voice, James felt a surge of disgust from the bottom of his heart. "What

are you doing here? Who let you in?"

Jolene felt awkward. "James, you were the one who asked me to move in with you."

Upon hearing her words, James seemed to sober up a bit and remembered that it was

indeed the case, but even so, his expression did not soften.

With a chuckle, he went straight upstairs, ignoring her completely.

However, Jolene followed closely behind and asked softly, "James, shall I make some

coffee for you?"

James didn't say anything; he just felt annoyed. He pushed open the door and walked into

his bedroom, immediately noticing all the luggage on the floor.

"Who let you move all this junk into my room?"
