Chapter 1155 We're Just Playing the Supporting Roles

Jenny and Max were on the same page on that matter. ’Max just wants to be good to you.

Which woman wouldn't want a grand wedding?"

"So what if we had a grand wedding? It won't hold us back at all from having arguments in

the future,' Jade said in a mocking tone.

Jenny could not help but burst out laughing. She didn't know what to say." It's because

you'll argue in the future that you have to save some good memories. This way, when you

guys do argue later on, you'll be reminded of how much you loved each other back then

when you think of the wedding."

Jade pursed her lips and said nothing.

She wanted to say that all these were useless. She also had a grand wedding with Hayden

back then, but that didn't stop them from arguing and fighting. In the end, he betrayed

her and forced her to agree to the divorce without taking even a cent for alimony.

She didn't say it, but that didn't mean Jenny was clueless. "Jade, everybody is different.

You can't marry Max with any prejudices. It'll be hard for you to live a happy life that way."

Jenny hoped this was a marriage that could bring Jade happiness and let her forget the

pain she got from her first marriage.

"I know what you mean. Don't worry. I'm not that foolish." She just could not help thinking

about it sometimes, but she would not truly take it to heart.

Everything would pass eventually. Perhaps it was already in the past at that moment.

"Oh yes, Jade, I came over today to ask if you needed me to help you with anything.

Maybe blow some balloons, wrap some gifts, or something,' Jade said with a smile, trying

to divert Jade's attention.

Jade shook her head. ‘So many of my family members are here, so all those have long

been taken care of."

"I'm sorry. I was at Parrington the past few days. I should have come earlier to help." Jenny

felt a little apologetic. She felt that she had failed as her bridesmaid.

Jade did not mean that, so she said, "The reason my mother invited so many relatives over

was to do all these. They were very happy to help.

Don't think about it too much."

"Mmhmm." Jenny nodded and moved on from this topic.

After giving it a thought, Jade said, "Having said that, you and Stephanie have yet to try

your bridesmaid dresses. Since you're available now, let's go try it on, so it won't have any

fitting issues when you wear them later."

She didn't mind Jenny and Stephanie looking prettier than her at her wedding. She even

hoped that they would doll up. She would also be happy seeing them looking beautiful.

"Alright. I'll give Stephanie a call." Jenny accepted her suggestion. It would also be the

perfect chance for them to discuss what they should be doing on Jade’s wedding day. It

was Jenny's first time being somebody's bridesmaid, so she had no experience at all.

Stephanie came over very quickly after Jenny called her.

Things at Walker Inc were more stable recently, so she was not too busy. Besides, she had

already gotten the hang of handling the company's matters, so even if she did not go to

the office, it would not be a big deal.

All three of them went to the bridal shop together. Jade had ordered her wedding dress

there. It also had bridesmaid dresses, so she got them from the same shop out of

convenience.

Jade asked the shopkeeper to bring the bridesmaid dresses over, and then she pushed

Jenny and Stephanie into the dressing room. "Go try them on."

Soon, both of them came out of the dressing room. The dresses fit them very well. Both of

them had a fair complexion, so they looked very pretty even when wearing green dresses.

"This is my first time seeing somebody looking so pretty in a green bridesmaid dress." The

shopkeeper could not help but praise. When she looked at Jenny in particular, her eyes

were beaming.

If she had not known Jenny's identity, she probably would have wanted very badly to ask

Jenny to stay and be their shop's model.

"Jenny, Stephanie, these dresses suited both of you very well. You look very pretty," Jade

could not help but praise them as well.

Jenny smiled and said, "Jade, we're just playing the supporting roles. The prettiest of all is

still you."

"That's right. We're the green leaves that serve as a foil to you, the beautiful blossom,"

Stephanie echoed.
