Chapter 1057 Waiting for the Right Timing

Jenny held the spare key to Alec's villa. In fact, it was Alec who insisted on giving her the

key, telling her to make herself at home at his place. At that time, she thought he was

being too much, but now, she felt he was wise to do so.

She entered the villa and rushed into the study, where she expected to find him buried in

work. However, she opened the door to find him sprawling on the floor unconscious. She

was momentarily shocked and failed to calm herself.

"Alec!" She hurried over to him. He appeared to have fainted.

When he heard her voice, he stirred a little and had a baffled look on his face upon seeing

her in person. "Jenny? You..."

"Are you sick? Where?" she questioned as she observed the frown on his face and how he

He forced a smile and tried to put on a relaxed look. "I-I'm fine."

"Alec Faust!" She looked furious. "Do you want to die?"

"D-don't be angry. I have a bit of pain in my stomach." He had long suffered from digestive

issues. Before he met Jenny, he habitually lived a life with an irregular schedule. In the

past, he would have felt better after taking the meds. But he didn't expect to faint from

severe stomach pain this time.

She helped him up from the floor. "Can you walk? I'll send you to the hospital."

"It's fine. I'll just take some meds." He didn't like going to the hospital and refused to

move. Too bad Jenny didn’t consider his opinion. She supported him as they walked out of

the study. Then, she helped him into the car before getting on and speeding to the

hospital.

Meanwhile, Evan was standing behind a curtain in his villa. After Jenny and Alec left, he

finally emerged from behind the curtain, went onto the balcony, and stared in the

direction of Jenny's car.

"Boss, it's meaningless to go on like this. Miss Walter can't cut her ties with Alec Faust,"

Howard remarked. He spoke the facts not to provoke Evan but to wake Evan up to reality.

Of course, Evan was well aware of the fact. He stood silently with an ashen face. Seeing

that, Howard added, "I've made the arrangements to leave for abroad. We can make the

move at any time. If you've come to a decision. I'll let our men leave before us. Leaving at

the same time will only make us an easy target."

Leaving? Evan did not mind leaving Clusia, but he was only worried that Jenny wouldn't

follow. At that moment, he had not thought of a good way to breach the topic. So, he said,

"Let's wait for a bit more. I'm waiting for the right timing."

Although he was unhappy at how Alec was hanging around Jenny, he understood that the

two might have started dating had he not shown up and disrupted the plan. He didn't see

his action as wrong, but he also knew it was impossible to keep Jenny away from Alec

Jenny got Alec into the emergency room at the hospital and waited anxiously for him by

the door. Soon, a nurse who was an acquaintance emerged from the room and went

straight to the point, "It's peptic ulcer- not fatal, but not good to live with it long-term

either."

"Got it. Thank you." Jenny nodded as she silently grumbled about Alec's lack of concern

about his health.

When Alec was wheeled out of the emergency room, he was unconscious. Although he

was fine after receiving treatment, he needed to be warded for a few days for close

monitoring. Jenny helped him with the paperwork for hospitalization. Once she was done,

she stayed by his side in the patient room. The sight of his pale face gripped her heart.
