Chapter 317 Forcing the Underworlders to Retreat, Semi-finals

As for the remaining Level 5 Underworlder, Albert quickly urged his Winged Golden Unicorn to chase after it.

The Winged Golden Unicorn flapped its wings and flew straight in the direction of the target. Albert then jumped out of his mount and raised his sword in midair before slashing out with all his might!

Swoosh!

A dazzling sword light flashed toward the Level 5 Underworlder!

Puchi!

The huge creature was cut in half! It didn't die immediately and the upper half of its body crawled, leaving a trail of purple blood in its path.

Albert swung his sword once more and decapitated its head.

With the death of the last Level 5 Underworlder, the Underworlder army soon fell apart. They were chased down by the angry Barbarian warriors and Shadow Guards. Even the elven warriors who were usually calm joined the chase.

"Kill them all! Don't let them escape! Chase them down!" Callon shouted angrily as he lunged into a Level 4 Underworlder, raising a giant warblade that he had taken from an Underworlder warrior.

Puchi!

Callon didn't stop and chased down the enemies, killing them mercilessly with the giant war blade!

Soon, more Underworlders fell and only a little more than ten thousand of them managed to escape with their lives.

At this moment, the desert was filled with the corpses of the warriors from both sides. A huge bulk of them were corpses of Underworlder soldiers.

"Treat the wounded and check if there are survivors!" Albert commanded his troops in a loud booming voice. He stared grimly at the battlefield that was littered with corpses and mutilated body parts.

"Thanks for your help." A beautiful voice echoed behind him. He turned his head and saw Irithel looking at him with a smile. Albert didn't dare look at her face for too long and only shook his head. "I'm only following King Aethelwolf's commands. You don't have to thank me."

Hearing this, Irithel chuckled and moved her gaze to the corpses. Her eyes flashed with sorrow when she saw the corpses of some elven warriors. They were some of the brave fighters of the Aracan Kingdom, but they died miserable deaths. She was filled with rage towards the Underworlders and she vowed that she would kill more of them in the future. It was the only way to avenge her fallen subordinates.

Meanwhile, Amishta and the Barbarian warriors were praying solemnly. It was their way of honoring the death of their comrades.

The Proud Tiger Tribe lost eight thousand of their warriors. It was a devastating blow to them and they mourned for the death of their tribesmen. The elven warriors lost more than a hundred soldiers, while the Shadow Guards lost four men.

Everyone is in a solemn mood as they collected the corpses of their comrades. Some were already indistinguishable because part of their bodies were consumed by the Underworlders. It filled them with rage when they saw the desecrated remains of their friends.

Albert took out his Communication Rune and called Aethelwolf.

There were only five minutes left before the start of the semi-finals and Aethelwolf suddenly felt something vibrating inside his storage space. He grabbed his Communication Rune and quickly answered the call when he saw that it was Albert.

Aethelwolf sent a stream of world essence around him to prevent anyone from eavesdropping. He then asked in a low voice. "How are things on your side?"

"We managed to force the Underworlders to retreat, but we lost so many soldiers. More than a hundred elven warriors died and four of the Shadow Guards even died. As for my soldiers, only less than twenty died, while hundreds of them received major wounds. They are now being treated by the Doctors and Alchemists." Albert reported in a solemn tone.

Aethelwolf's expression turned cold when he heard the report. He never thought that four of his Shadow Guards would actually die from the battle. This showed how powerful the Underworlders are and the most terrifying thing about them was that no one knows how many of them would emerge to the surface. If there were tens of billions of them, would the Regalis Continent survive this calamity? He couldn't imagine the chaos they would bring if that happens.

"Give one Recovery Pill to each of the wounded soldiers. Don't let one more of them die." Aethelwolf muttered in a cold voice.

"Yes, King Aethelwolf!"

"Stay there and protect the group while the Transportation Rune is being made. After everyone from the Proud Tiger Tribe has been transported, let Irithel make the arrangements for you. As for our dead comrades, give them a proper burial." Aethelwolf could only temporarily send Albert's force to support Irithel's team.

"Yes, King Aethelwolf!"

Aethelwolf disconnected the call and retracted the barrier he had erected.

As soon as he disconnected the call, Omar announced the start of the semifinals.

Janrose and Xavier were called and they jumped on the stage with serious gazes.

Janrose won all her battles overwhelmingly and this gave Xavier a heavy pressure. Although his level was higher compared to hers, there was a huge difference in their comprehension and power. He couldn't compare to Janrose in this regard. After all, he still hasn't comprehended his own Weapon Intent. It was the first time he was unsure about his victory.

"Begin!"

The battle has started and the stadium was filled with the wild cheering of the crowd. It was so deafening that even those outside the stadium could hear them.

There were numerous projections all over West Ocean City. Everyone could spectate the semifinals even though they weren't in the stadium.

At this moment, everyone in the city stared excitedly at the two young fighters on the stage.

Some smart merchants even started opening a betting pool and many people immediately placed their bets on their favorite participants.

"Good luck, Miss Janrose! Please win so that I can take some money for my family!"

"Xavier, I know you can win this fight! Go!"

Everyone cheered for their idols.
