Sure enough, Lily was not concerned about what he was saying.She was just staring at Edward

intensely.

Only his eyes were visible, and he appeared to be exhausted.

Mike was astonished by his words.

It sounded cruel, but Mike knew Edward was merely stating a fact.

With the mysterious man’s cunningness and cruelty, it seemed he wanted to keep controlling Mike by

holding his son hostage.

Hence, Mike never gave up on searching for his son, even if he had no choice but to serve here

forever.It was close to impossible for them to release his son.

“Did Alex ask you to come here?” Mike asked.

This was something Lily was doubtful about as well.

‘If Alex instructed Edward to come here, why didn’t he tell Lily about it? He wouldn’t hide anything from

Lily”

Edward’s gaze darkened, and he ignored the question.

“Don’t ask so many questions.This isn’t a good place to linger.You two better leave as soon as

possible.They’ll discover your plans if you wait any longer.”

“Do you think no one will find out if we leave now? Do you think we’ll get trapped here if we want to

leave?”

Lily looked at him and asked, “You know why we’re staying here.”

Edward pursed his lips in silence.

Lily was right.

They were not staying here because they were under control.

Besides the staff, who needed to scan their cards wherever they went, the lab’s middle and top

management did not need to do that.

They had the freedom to move around the vicinity.

However, they knew what they were doing and how huge this organization was.

Hence, they would not leave before completing the research.

that?”

Mike was puzzled.

“Also, where did the boss go? Did you hide him somewhere?”

“Do you think you can escape after we leave?”

There were many more people in the organization besides the mysterious man.

Lily and Mike still had not figured out their web of connections and network yet.

Edward’s gaze turned darker as he said lightly, “I’ve never thought about escaping.”

Mike was stunned, and the same went for Lily.

“Are you planning to die here with them?”
