Chapter 1303 The Grand Eruption

~BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!~

The massive surge of Aether roared as it once again broke down concepts and charged towards Legris.

This time, however, the rain of energy was far stronger than the one from earlier.

Not only did it contained the sheer might of all twelve Constellations, but its bountiful output was nearly triple the initial blast.

The result was a gaping explosive flare of power that could devastate universes upon mere collision.

Still…

~WHISH!~

… Even that was insufficient.

"My, my, what a conundrum you're in." Legris beamed at the sheer uselessness of their efforts.

"No matter how much power you pour into your attacks, it will still be worthless."

In order for an opposing element to take out its rival, the former had to be stronger than the latter.

The more bountiful element would consume the less.

This principle applied to water and fire. In a scenario where a massive wave of water washed upon a mere flicker of flames, the latter wouldn't stand a chance.

It would also be the same if a raging storm of flames was met with a splash of water.

Light and darkness. Push and Pull. Good and Evil.

This principle pervaded everything.

"So why would this situation be an exception? You have hope that your combined powers will be able to overwhelm and destroy me." Legris smiled at the group.

"You are wrong."

No matter the quantity and quality of Aether that the Constellations possessed, it was nowhere close to the power that Legris finally possessed.

"You twelve are Constellations in only one Tree of existence. Your power, albeit immensely bountiful—almost to the point of being considered infinite—is not enough."

After all, just as there existed two Trees of Existence—Aether and Nether—there was one other that remained unaccounted for.

The one that Legris now governed as its monarch.

"I am the very personification of nonexistence. A being on the same level as Aether and Nether who are primordial representations of their own realities." His confident smile began to gain substance.

"Who are you, mere fragments of existence, to challenge me?"

Once Legris properly revealed his superiority, he could see the shaken expressions of the Constellations.

Yet… they would not yield.

"No matter what, it is our duty to protect existence from your reach. It is our responsibility to eliminate you as a threat. And…" Aquarius spoke on behalf of all the Constellations who were with her.

"… We made a promise to him. A promise we will honor no matter what!"

"A promise? To who? Neron? I see that bastard is still making deals and—"

"No. Not Neron." Aquarius interrupted Legris, who was chuckling at this point.

He stopped the moment he heard that his guess was wrong.

"The pact with Neron has been fulfilled. Our promise with Jared remains."

"I see… Jared, huh?" Legris smiled, taking a good look around him.

"Nowhere to be found too. How strange is it that the ones you rely on are not present when you need them most?"

Despite his taunts, the Constellations kept up their determination.

"Even if they show up now, nothing will change."

Even a Singularity like Neron could not possibly have enough power to match him now.

And if Neron couldn't stop him, neither could Jared.

"Welp, let's get this over with, shall we?"

A dark firmament suddenly settled above Legris, almost like a blackening cloud above his head.

It rang ominous, and the Constellations realized they had to act fast or else…

"You're considering the length at which to unleash your powers considering how it might affect the denizens of your tree, aren't you?"

Legris' wicked smile pierced through them, confirming that his words were indeed true.

"Haha! It's so obvious. Even though we currently stand at the edge, utilizing too much Aether might create a shockwave that decimates reality."

Even if they established a barrier, the sheer might of their power would still be more than enough to shatter said barrier.

"What now, Constellations? You can't afford to hold back with me, you know? And if you fail to stop me, I'll make sure that all the ones you worry about saving all meet brutal ends."

The only way out was to use their combined powers and end the lives of billions of existences—if not more—for the sake of stopping Legris.

"Choose now. If not, I'll choose for you!" He yelled out in an enthusiastic grin.

"Very well…" Aquarius whispered. "We will challenge you with our full powers."

The fact that she spoke for all of them made it clear that all the Constellations were in agreement.

Their desperation had reached this point.

"… But not here."

The reality around all the members present suddenly warped into a multicolored space that stretched further than one could possibly measure.

"You dragged me into your domain, huh? I was going to come here of my own volition anyway, but thanks for making the journey quicker."

The Constellations ignored him and ignored their combined Aether.

Since they were now here, in their domain, there was no risk of killing anyone with the sheer magnitude of their strength.

They could go all out.

"Die, Legris Damien."

And so, as everything around then undulated and tore to shreds, the Constellations sent out their final card.

Energy equivalent to a multiversal Big Bang.

~BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!~

All the color and everything else that existed in the entire Constellation Realm vanished.

Every ounce and fragment of Aether within it exploded, creating a raging storm that defied storms.

An absolute destruction that transcended description.

And after running its course for an eternity encapsulated in a single second, the Grand Eruption finally ceased.

The only ones who remained were the Constellations…

"That was impressive."

… And Legris Damien.

"But I already said this to you…" The unscathed Legris smiled as he watched the powerless Constellations.

"… You're all worthless."
