Chapter 426 “Tell us! What did you buy?” “That's a big piece of furniture!” Many colleagues gathered around curiously, and seven leaned in to look inside. However, the box was so tightly sealed that all they saw were wooden boards.

“I didn't buy it!” Lily shook her head and put one hand on the wooden box. “Did the security say anything else about who had sent it?" Her colleagues all shook their heads and said that they did not know.

Tapping her fingers on the wooden frame, Lily not only wondered who sent it but also how to open it. Who knew what was inside this enormous box? Could it be that she had been in the limelight too much recently and someone sent her something to retaliate? When this thought flashed through her mind, she abruptly pulled her hand back as if she was afraid something inside the box would bite her.

“Wow, this box is huge!” Olivia rushed over with pancakes in her hands. “What's inside?” Lily looked at her and casually said, “A bomb!” Olivia instantly jumped back. Fortunately, she did not toss the pancake in her hands. Then, with widened eyes, she asked, “Really?!” “Of course not. It's a joke. How could we stay here if it's real?” One of the colleagues next to her laughed. “We have no idea what's inside. We're all very curious! Lily, if you didn't buy it, it must be from a guy! Could it be your boyfriend?” Lily suddenly thought it made sense in the face of their joking remarks. Could it be that Alexander sent this to her? She took out her phone and looked for a quiet corner to make a call. After a few rings, Alexander picked up, and his magnetic voice managed to ease her worries. “You just left this morning, and you've missedalready?” “Is that why you senta gift?” Lily asked.

Alexander was stunned. “Gift? What gift? Are you askingto buy you something?” “Didn‘t you send one?” Lily was even more surprised when she heard the tone of his voice.” Then, it must not be him who sent it.‘ “Huh? Did someone give you something? What is it? Flowers? Or is it... balloons?” Alexander was particularly sensitive to “balloons” after what happened last time.

“No, no, it's none of those. | was just asking around. Forget it!” Just as she was about to hang up, his impatient voice rang through the phone. “What do you mean forget it?
