The red hot rock burrowed itself halfway into the ground.

Allen and his friends watched as it came to a still.

"Lady Shea!!"

Rath went running to Shea when he noticed her.

But she did not pay him any attention, she was more interested in Allen's reaction.

His entire group was still in position to attack.

"Did we do it?"

The last time they saw him, he was underneath the meteorite, but he was also a formidable foe.

It was hard to tell whether he had died or not.

Shea ended up asking Allen for confirmation, somehow she felt like he would know for sure.

"I'm checking right now."

Allen replied with a plain voice.

Cecile stood behind him, peeking at his Grimoire.

"He's not dead."

"Seems so."

There were no new entries in the Grimoire.

"..."

Shea figured there was something in front of them that only Allen's friends could look at.

(I guess we can't take any chances. I'm afraid of his accessories breaking, but Merle, shoot the Vulcan Cannon.)

Allen got rid of a Bird F, summoned it again, and used its Awakened Skill [Transmission].

He wanted Basque's accessories, but if he had a way to regenerate his health, the entire fight so far would be for naught.

There was the possibility he was laying low and waiting for an opening to attack.

"Alright! Vulcan Cannons engaged!!"

Merle was still aboard Tam-Tam and waiting for orders. She double checked that the sights were still centered on Basque's position under the meteorite and opened fire.

The rock began getting chipped away and shattering.

There was still no Grimoire entry about Basque's defeat even after a while of continuous shooting, so Allen decided to approach the meteorite, or at least what was left of it.

"It seems he got away somehow."

Allen muttered, unable to think of any other possibility.

"So he can teleport like you?"

"Probably. I don't know if it was a Skill or one of his accessories, but I guess this means we should've planned for the case he tries escaping too."

"Hm."

(I'm so annoyed. He took my accessories and experience.)

Kurena looked bothered by the result but Allen, who really wanted Basque's equipment, was the most frustrated.

This was the first time their prey had managed to get away after they got so close.

"I-I see. What should we do then?"

Shea was surprised seeing how disappointed everyone in Allen's party looked, even Allen's strategy had worked almost perfectly and they had managed to drive off such a powerful enemy.

"Well, first of all we know pretty much for sure that those altars are being used for no good, so we'll go around the continent destroying each one of them. And take down the Demon Generals guarding them while we're at it."

"J-just like that…"

Prince Zew had told her that Allen did not seem to follow common sense, but she had not expected him to be this disconnected from it.

Demon Generals were not the kind of enemy one could hunt as a side job.

"What should we do then, Lady Shea?"

Lud and Rath also wanted to know Shea's plans.

"I'll accompany Allen, obviously. We're still responsible for letting the Evil Cult's leader remain alive after all."

That was the princess' trial, and the reason why she had come to this continent. To destroy the Evil Cult.

But Gushara Serbilor was still at large.

She had been unable to do much during the fight against Basque.

At most, she had been able to watch how Allen and his party fought Demon Generals.

Allen did not seem to be the type of person to be bothered by that, but it still made her feel restless.

"Understood. We'll follow you wherever you go."

Lud had followed Shea since she was very young, and that was not going to change.

Rath was also of the same mind.

Three days have passed since then.

Allen's party was now in Mitopoy, Carvalonea's capital.

"H-how…"

Muhan was speechless.

Carvalonea was not a particularly big country, but it had a lot of flat land.

Mitopoy exploited that advantage, being a city built with a large and wide outer wall.

They had not anticipated any attacks by the Demon King's Army or high rank monsters, so only the outer wall was built so large, while the few forts dotting the area were much smaller.

In one corner of the city they had built a temple to worship Gushara, the leader of the Evil Cult.

Carvalonea was essentially a country built by cultists, so unlike the Holy Land and Clebeur, they had a proper temple for him.

But what shocked Muhan so much was the ravaged state of Mitopoy.

That destruction had not been caused by the raging Pagan Worshippers.

It had all been done under Allen's command.

"There we go! We got him this time."

The Grimoire showed he had defeated a Demon General, and that he had reached Level 84.

Basque had gotten away in their last fight, so this time Allen focused on killing the Demon General no matter what.

According to Muhan, Carvalonea did not really exist as a country anymore.

It used to be a republic with a president and state institutions, but both those organizations and the president were gone, so eventually Carvaluna would absorb the territory again.

Cecile was given full control of her Extra Skill, and Merle used her Vulcan Cannon, ravaging the city from afar and leaving it crumbling down.

There were no real issues with destroying the city.

Unlike the temple in the Holy Land, Carvaluna's people were not likely to have any attachment to the city either way.

Muhan and his soldiers from Carvaluna watched speechless as Allen casually moved onto the next step of his plan.

Three more days passed after they defeated the Demon General in Carvalonea.

Having destroyed the third altar, Allen's party moved to the desert.

Since Allen and Merus had not been with them, Sophie's team was taking longer to clear up her side, and that was why Allen left it for last.

"So there's a Demon General there?"

"Yes, King Arbus."

Allen answered the Dark Elf King Arbus' question.

When they told the dark elf elders that they would be fighting the Demon General in one day, he came out with his best soldiers to support them.

He wanted to see how the Demon General would fall, and he wanted to meet the leader of Sophie's party.

First he asked if he was 'the boy who wards off darkness', and Allen did not know how to answer.

In the end he settled for simply saying "I'm Allen."

King Arbus, his generals, and his army of 10'000 soldiers were all looking at Allen.

Then they looked at Merus standing next to him.

"Alright Sophie, use the Spirit King's Blessing."

"Yes, right away."

'Hahah, you're using it right off the bat again.'

The Spirit God Rosen began shaking his hips as he cast the Spirit King's Blessing on them.

"Cecile, it's your turn. Are you ready?"

"I am. Small Meteorite!!"

Cecile rode on a Bird B summon and looked at her target.

She pointed her palm towards the oasis that had mysteriously sprouted a few decades before, and the city of Luqoack built next to it.

She adjusted her aim further to center on the temple in the city, where the Demon General was.

The streak of light was emanating from that same building.

With that done, she cast [Small Meteorite].

Cecile was wearing Makris' Sacred Bead, and was buffed further by Sophie's Spirit King's Blessing, giving her a ridiculous amount of mana.

"""Ohhh!!"""

The dark elves raised their voices, and their bodies began trembling seeing what was unfolding in front of them.

A large rock, more than a hundred meters wide, fell down from the sky while glowing red hot.

The enormous meteorite fell dead onto the oasis city, crushing the entire temple and the buildings around it.

Luqoack had been the source of all the evil plaguing the desert now, so they decided to get rid of the entire city.

Many weeks had passed since the disaster occurred, but just in case the Wraith A summon and Merus had gone to check for survivors the night before, not finding a single living soul.

"So? Did that do it?"

The Bird B summon Cecile was riding landed softly.

"Just wait a moment. Oh, ohhhh!! I've leveled up!"

'You've defeated one Demon General. You've reached Level 85. Strength +100. Mana +160. Attack +56. Endurance +56. Agility +104. Intelligence +160. Luck +104. Kingship has been unsealed.'

Allen had only used his Fish C summon's Special Skill and Awakened Skill, and the Bird B summon to help attack from a higher point, but that was enough for him to gain experience the way he wanted.

A Demon General had been defeated, so rather than getting a fixed amount of experience, he leveled up instantly.

This also helped prove that if Cecile killed a monster while riding on Allen's Bird B summon, he would get experience as well.

It was similar to something Merle had mentioned before, about dwarves that rode inside golems and gained experience without having to do anything.

"Let me see. Wait, Kingship was unsealed."

"You're right! He can use Kingship now!!"

Cecile and Kurena celebrated Allen's unsealed Skill like it was their own.

"""..."""

While King Arbus and Princess Shea, as well as their respective Soldiers watched in confusion, Allen's party celebrated something completely different than the defeat of the Demon General.

They could not comprehend what was going on.

That way three Demon Generals were defeated, while Basque ran away. The four light streaks and the altars that caused them were destroyed by Allen's party.
