Thomas, worried that she might do something impulsive, quickly called Maxim.

“Mr. Yoder, this is Thomas. My father was taken away by the police this morning and couldn’t be bailed out. Briana,

my way in?!”

At Briana Cameron’s questioning gaze, Maxim’s brows furrowed even deeper in an instant, “Briana, it’s not that I

disagree with you saving Mr. Cameron, it’s just that there could be other ways. There’s no need to be so impulsive.”

Briana Cameron scoffed, “It’s my dad locked up in the police station, not yours. Of course, you can say that so

easily.”

As her voice trailed off, the carriage fell into silence.

The angry expression on Maxim’s face gradually faded, all emotions returning to calm, and the look in his eyes
